Aquaculture and Fishery

A significant part of the territory of VLM SR is an important area of water with I. - III. degree of protection. Many waterways are sources of drinking water, which makes sense to the strategic importance of water which will continue to increase in the future. In these areas VLM SR. p. managed in accordance with water management and environmental regulations. Corrects and maintains the property of forest and land improvement and zahrádzania of streams.

VLM SR manage 681 km of watercourses, particularly small streams and 57 ha of ponds. The length of the fishing districts is 150 km with an area of 32 ha. For restocking is yearly planted 56,000 pieces of stocks. In the market fisheries catches for 2 tonnes of fish and in sport fisheries around 1.1 tonnes of fish.

The best conditions for fisheries and breeding ducks is characterized in the environment of branch plant Malacky, where two systems of ponds are used to breeding and reproduction of fish. The first system - Rakáreňská system consists of four ponds with an area of 40.75 hectares of a second system - Marhečská system consists of seven ponds with an area of 5.69 hectares.

Ponds of two systems are:

according to location - the nature of the lowland
according to the surroundings - forest
of the main farmed fish - carp
according to the method of water supply - flow
according to the intensity of fish farming – semi – intenzificational

In the semi – intenzificational ponds is the production based on feeding the straddling mainly with cereals.

The main farmed species is the Common carp. Of course straddling of breeding ponds form also other species such as : perch, pike, catfish, tench, grass carp. These species are additional fish and serve to increase the fertility of ponds and their yield per hectare.

For sport fishing VLM SR š.p. branch plant Malacky uses two fishing districts. The first named Rašeliny Prievaly consists of five ponds with a total area of 33.20 hectares. A second fishing district called Marheček n.21 consists of one pond with an area of 3.66 hectares. Both districts are suitable to hunt and rank among cyprinid waters.

In VLM SR s.e. Pliešovce the branch plant Malacky it is possible to buy a license to fish.

Price list:

The basic herd of wild duck - marcovky, is located on grove "Kopča", where is about 200 ducks and 80 male ducks. There are placed the incubators for ducklings and aviaries for duckling rearing itself. The annual egg production is about 10,000 pieces. Annual production of ducklings is approximately 3,700 pieces. About 2800 ducklings from the annual production is deleted to the pond to catch the common hunting.
