Creating game reserves is of special importance not only because of better breeding opportunities but also because of the enrichment of hunting grounds. Reserves located in Kamenica nad Cirochou preserve the gene pool of East-Carpathian Deer and support wild boar breeding. Reserves in Pliešovce and Malacky are housing Fallow Deers and mouflons in order to enhance the species diversity.
